Fishing in Margate over the last weekend 02/10/2010,  Guzi and I managed to pick up some good fish, but none could surpass the giant 4.5 kg Bronze Bream that I managed to tackle using my light stick.  Fortunately my brother taught me about the bemini twist, and I used a shorter leader on my 10pound braid.  The fish gave a lekker fight and I was lucky that it didnt cut me off on the rocks.
Heres an important tip:  DONT THROW AWAY THE SARDINE GUTS ! thats right, I just took all the muck and tied it to my 4/0 blacktail hook (Mustad Big Gun) so that it was dripping with blood and guts.  The most amazing thing about this fish, is that you can't really tell if you have a bite or not, you will feel a light tug and then nothing, just when you think your bait's gone and you start to reel up, you get a heart pumping pull, and your 9ft medium rod bends while your small spinning coffee grinder starts to give some short rattle like screams. It is important to pick the fish up quickly, so that it doesn't go into the rocks.  The other thing about fishing from sheer cliff like wet rocks, is to be extremely careful when you land the fish.  I had to go to a bottom rock to get a better landing site, so I gave Guzi the rod and went down to a comfortable spot.  I kept my eyes on the waves, and pulled the fish in as the waves were coming up.  I managed to land it safely onto the rocks and then grabed it by the gill.
