months of dreaming, knot practice, casting practice, gym, gear prep, packing,
unpacking and repacking finally came to an end on the 14th November.
The day had finally arrived, months of excitement, peaking and crashing

On a trip to Nelspruit recently I was invited
by Uncle Ismail Mia of Sollys Anglers Nelspruit, to join his son Abdurrahman
Mia and his friend Ahmed Ismail on the boat at De Hoop Dam in Steelpoort.
We started out the day at 3:00am. I got my boys
and my new brother in-law Abubakr ready, and we were off. We reached the water at around 5:30am, after
a long and winding road up and down the hills of Lydenburg. The dam was beautiful to say the least, and I

So got back a few days ago from an incredible week with Madagascar
Fishing Adventures. After good on 2 years of waiting and planning, the day
finally arrived. All the tackle prep and sleepless nights were worth it.
Madagascar is an absolutely beautiful place, the people are friendly and the
MFA set up just works.

My annual trip to Kosi Bay is an event I
start dreaming about months before the time. This year wasn’t any different.
Weeks before the time I had already ordered the Windon leaders, Roosta poppers
and slide traces. Ticked off all the necessary items on the check list and got
