GUZI IS ALSO REGARDED IN OUR FAMILY AS A MASTER FISHERMAN.  THROUGH THIS WEB PAGE HE WILL SHARE WITH YOU SOME OF HIS FAVOURITE FISHING TRACES AND TECHNIQUES TO HELP YOU WITH YOUR FISHING.

 THE DAM TRACE

This simple yet effective trace is commonly used by anglers to catch fish in dams, rivers and even on the rocks when fishing at the coast.

Step 1:  Tie your sinker at the bottom of your line using the method shown in the diagrams below:

Step 2:  Leave about fifty centimetres of line from the sinker

Step 3: Make a loop of about 10cm to 15cm, and at the base of the loop, tie a knot once and then again.

Step 4: Simply thread the loop of the line through the eye of the hook, pull it out the otherside and take it over the hook again.  Pull until the hook is tight.

Step 5: There you have a standard dam trace, now put a piece of brown bread bait dipped in egg yellow and throw it in the water in front of you!

Tackle Used:

Sensation one piece Bream Rod and silstar spinning reel with 5lb mono line.  The lure was a bright green broken back minnow.

Check out this home-made rod made by the master fisherman himself.  He found this bamboo stick on a farm one day and he said to me "bru, I'm going to make a lekker rod with this". He did just that and the results were magic, check out this video where he shows off his rod and proves that it can catch fish:
